Citrus — Japanese Seedless Mandarin
Japanese Seedless Mandarin is an early-maturing mandarin prized for its virtually seedless fruit, exquisite flavour and wonderfully easy-peeling skin. The fruit is sweet, juicy and perfect for eating straight from the tree, making it a particularly good choice for the family garden and lunchboxes. The evergreen tree has a spreading habit and can be kept smaller with regular pruning.
Height & Width: 3–4m x 3–4m
Aspect: Full sun to part shade
Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil
Harvest: April–June
Japanese Seedless Mandarin is well suited to cooler climates and has better cold tolerance than many other mandarins. It can be grown in a large pot, provided it receives plenty of sun, regular water and good-quality potting mix. Harvest promptly when ripe, as the fruit does not hang on the tree indefinitely.
All citrus are supplied in 165mm pots.
