Blue Peter is an old favourite, producing large, frilled trusses of pale lavender-blue flowers with a distinctive purple flare. The flowers have a beautifully soft colouring that gradually lightens towards the centre, set against dark evergreen foliage. It is also one of the rhododendrons with a good reputation for performing in Melbourne and southeastern Australian gardens.
