Tamarisk — Flowering Cypress

Tamarisk, or Flowering Cypress (Tamarix sp), is a graceful deciduous tree with fine, feathery foliage and masses of soft pink flowers in spring. Its airy, lightly arching habit gives it a relaxed feel in the garden, while its tolerance of wind and salt makes it particularly well suited to coastal sites. A lovely choice for a feature tree, informal screening or a naturalistic garden.
