Citrus — Sunrise Finger Lime

Sunrise Lime is a beautiful Australian citrus hybrid, combining finger lime and calamondin characteristics. It produces unusual pear-shaped golden fruit with juicy, sharp-flavoured flesh, while the sweet skin and pith mean the whole fruit can be eaten. Developed by CSIRO, it makes an attractive ornamental citrus for both pots and the garden. Fruit is produced mainly in autumn and winter, with occasional fruit at other times of year.

Sunrise Lime is well suited to pot cultivation and responds well to pruning. Citrus Gems are generally hardy and tolerant of frost and dry conditions, although a warm, sheltered position will give the best results.
